Freya Wissing, our international actress/model, is back home after spending quite some time in L.A. She hopes to explore the ever increasing local industry. This talented girl has background training in scene study, monologues and improv classes from the Beverly Hills playhouse, and the Santa Monica acting school (the same as Hillary Swank attended).

Because of her many T.V. commercials, while she was in the United States, and small roles she has played in American films, Freya belongs to SAG (Screen Actors Guild), making it that easier for her to land bigger parts on any of the U.S.A. films being shot locally year after year. She has a scene opposite Armand Assante in "Citizen Verdict" and a bigger role opposite Christopher Lambert and Dennis Hopper in the "Piano Player". She also appears briefly in "Lord of War" with Nicholas Cage and Jared Letto. And, even though, if you blinked, you might miss her, someone made sure that she was featured on all the trailers worldwide, to advertise the film. (Catch her dancing on tanks and aeroplane wings with machine guns).

Locally you can currently see her on the Sinutab ad singing away, also on one of the Vuka Award ads for abused women. Others include the more recent Nedbank and Jetta T.V. commercials. Also, she has had parts in local series, Back Stage and scoop Schoombie.

Dancing is Freya's forte. She is classically trained from the University of Cape Town Ballet School, but, is able to pick up on any other style from funk to Latin, etc...

Freya is keen to branch out into presenting. And, with her background of travel, art history, dancing, health, modelling, improv, languages and overall life experience, there is not one subject she cannot talk about.

On the modelling side, Freya has worked with Bruce Weber for Italian Vogue, done an Armani body campaign, finalist for Victoria’s Secret next supermodel and graced foreign magazine covers, but it is really her acting that she wants to pursue.
